About Me
Professionally…
…this beautiful career has been the honor of my life for over a decade. I have loved working for couples all over the world, including Pittsburgh, West Virginia, Ohio, Washington D.C., Virginia, and even internationally on a lord’s estate in Sheffield, England (pictured left/above in 2013).
Personally…
When I’m not creating unforgettable moments for couples on their wedding day, I’m soaking up life with my amazing family. My wife, Hillary, and I have been married since 2016, and together we have three wonderful children—Simon (6), Ruth (4), and Aaron (2).
Hillary shares my passion for weddings and is part owner of Barton's Flowers and Bake Shop, a beloved family business she runs with her twin sister. As the lead decorator, Hillary crafts breathtaking wedding cakes and brings a designer’s touch to every event. We live in the South Hills of Pittsburgh, where we’re active in our church community and enjoy tending to our family garden—a place where many of our favorite memories are made.
As parents, we’re dedicated to raising our children to see and love people of all abilities, shapes, sizes, colors, and beliefs. Our son Simon, who has cerebral palsy, attends the Western Pennsylvania School for Blind Children, where he inspires us daily with his resilience and joy. He loves cooking class, shopping, and cruising around our yard in his adapted power-wheel Jeep. Ruth is our sweet and spirited songbird, full of empathy and enthusiasm, while Aaron is clever, adventurous, and fast enough to keep us all on our toes!
Our journey as a family fuels the passion and care I bring to every wedding. It is a true joy to help couples create their own unforgettable moments, and I bring the same love and dedication to your day as I do to my own family.
On Your Wedding Day…
I bring a professional athlete’s mindset. From 2005 to 2012, I was both a professional and scholarship athlete, blessed to play pro basketball in Leeds, England, after a Hall of Fame career at St. Vincent College. In those high-stakes environments, I learned the importance of precision, preparation, and unwavering professionalism. Every detail—even the smallest—mattered, and the only way to succeed was to do the right thing at the right time, every time.
That same mentality perfectly translates to your wedding day. From the flow and aesthetic, to the accuracy and timing, I approach each moment with the same care and dedication. No detail is too small, and no moment is too big. I thrive in the uniqueness of each wedding—the one chance to get it right. All the while, I bring a calm, cool, and collected communication style amidst countless moving parts.
Over the years, I have grown into a wedding professional that I am deeply proud of. My athletic career instilled discipline and poise, qualities that have been shaped further by the incredible wedding vendor-friends who inspire me daily. On your wedding day, these attributes shine through effortlessly, ensuring an experience that is smooth, joyful, and uniquely yours. It’s my honor to be part of a day that you’ll cherish forever.
